about

Clues about the band.

The first is in the name. Definite. Indefinite. Some place without a title, made into one. Like they chose to plant themselves somewhere that wasn’t, quite.

That’s probably how it was.

Then there’s the texture of the rest; a bit ethereal, a bit homesick. Polar and sad, but named after friends. Home-made, hand-crafted, but hardly-there. Cold hands sending loops in off the snow, stitched together.

This is their ghost’s scrapbook. There’s a tradition in it; if you listen hard enough, you’ll recognise the dialect. Twins and leaves had it. The a forest had it.

A wordless chorus, white chords. Crowded stages and a frozen beach.

Only now the forest is gone can we hear it.
